Women's Surf Festival - Final - winner Clarissa Moore
Hawaiian teenager Carissa Moore has won the inaugural TSB Women's Surf Festival in New Zealand.
With a powerful display of progressiving surfing the 17-year-old easily accounted for Australia's Sally Fitzgibbon in the final surfed in near-perfect 2m offshore conditions at Fitzroy Beach in New Plymouth.
Moore who had been adopted by the local Waitara community, donated her entire US$15,000 winner's cheque to the Waitara Bar Boardriders Club.
